Update (1115):
Full fledge flurries coming down now... might even classify as a snow shower. This activity will intensify as the day goes on.
Pictures are being posted in the winter weather outlook page.
Update (1020):
NWS zone forecast has increased accumulations to 2 - 4 inches. I'm sticking with 1 - 2 inches but more emphasis on the "2".
Snow has been falling across Northern NY this morning. Already there are reports of 1 to 2 inches of accumulation in that area. Light snow has reached into northern New England. Most of this lighter snow will remain to our north this morning. The bulk of the snow in NY will reach our area by noon. The snow could come down at rates of one half to one inch per hour. The NWS forecast is for 1 - 3 inches of snow by evening. My forecast is conservative (1 - 2 inches) in the light of the fact we havent gotten any snow yet this season. However, the possibility exists for even double that if the snow bands move over Keene.
The WRF has done well so far with this event so in the short term, it is the model of choice.

Based on this we may very well see 3 inches when the storm is through.
Storm updates will start this morning.
In the long term, the NYD storm is looking a little warmer. The NWS has reduced the time period of icing. I still believe the high pressure that moves in tomorrow is being underestimated, but have warmed things up a bit for Monday.
Details on the rest of the long term coming this afternoon.
