Scattered showers slowly approach the region this morning. Last night, Keene received some scattered patches of drizzle and freezing drizzle so take it easy on the morning commute today.

Showers will increase in coverage through late this morning and early afternoon. Steady rain will fall this afternoon before tapering off this evening. Total rainfall on the order of .25in to .5in is expected.

Clouds will break up tonight leaving us with partly cloudy skies by daybreak Thursday. A surge of warmth will arrive tomorrow and last into Friday with highs reaching near 50 both days. Another storm system will swing through the area with a chance of precipitation Friday Night. Temperatures will be around 30 overnight so there is a chance of a wintry mix before the storm pulls away. No accumulation is expected.

Cooler weather will enter New England for the weekend. Both days look beautiful with sunny skies but perhaps a nip in the air (still avg to abv avg). Highs will range around 40 both days. Another front, this one without any precipitation will pull through on Monday, dropping temperatures even more. Highs on Monday will only reach the upper 30s and on Tuesday the lower 30s. Cooler weather will last through at least the mid part of next week.

I'll have more details on the long term later this evening.
