Today will see partly to mostly sunny skies and temperatures warming once again over 10 degrees above normal. Today will mark the 11th straight day of above average high temperatures. Tonight clear skies will allow temperatures to drop to around 20 with possibly some scattered teens in the colder valleys. Friday will start out mostly sunny. Temperatures will rebound up into the low 40s before increasing cloudiness moves in Friday afternoon and evening.
Friday Night, precipitation is expected to move in after midnight. the NWS now has 90% POPs for Friday Night which shows good confidence in this and also a good chance that icing will occur. Advisory criteria has a good chance of being met Friday Night with freezing rain and sleet through mid morning Saturday and a chance of a glaze to a tenth of an inch before it changes over to plain rain.
Rain may fall heavily for a time Saturday morning to early afternoon before slowly lightening up through out the afternoon and evening and ending Saturday Night. There may even be some thunder to our south.
Sunday will see clearing skies and temperatures back up into the low 40s.
Long term plus second storm discussion coming later.
