We do indeed have two storms to talk about this week. Here is the list of forecast periods ahead:

SHORT TERM:
Period 1: Today: mostly sunny and chilly.
Period 2: Tonight and tomorrow: The first part of the first storm brings a chance of light snow from the northern fringe of the precipitation shield.
Period 3: Monday Night: Second part of the first storm brings a better chance of snow as well as the possibility of some accumulation.
MEDIUM TERM:
Period 4: Tuesday into Wednesday Morning: Essentially the calm before the potential of a second storm.
Period 5: Wednesday and Thursday: GFS and Euro still showing MECS (Major East Coast Storm) potential, but has shifted eastward and out to sea. Still 5 days out so there is room for changes for better or for worse.
LONG TERM:
Period 6: Friday into early next week: Right now looks like it will remain dry in the long term with cooling temperatures.

In the main page, I'll continue to cover the Thursday (1/25) potential as well as the long term outlook. Update will come later today.

As for the first storm, see the winter weather outlook page for the latest forecasts and current conditions.
